Beeper V4 Beta Client

I use Windows and Linux at the same time, they're great OS!
What's not so great, there's no way to use WhatsApp on Linux (except for WhatsApp Web).

That's where Beeper comes in, it allows you to connect multiple messaging apps into a single inbox. The core technology is actually based on Matrix.

Back in the day, I used the V3 client. Since it's the stable one, it works well, except it's slow. (By the way, I need fast internet to open the client.)

V4 Client (which, at the time of this writing, is still in Beta) is faster at launch. Keep that "faster at launch" in mind.

It's still in the Beta stage, so there are going to be quirks. (however, I haven't discovered any that's slowing down my workflow)

But after using it for around a month, here are my results.

Advantages

  1. It's faster at launch. Unlike V3 which is significantly slower, V4 is much faster and snappy.
  2. It looks better. V3 client actually looks good, but if you compare it with Beeper Android, it looks pretty much done.

Disadvantages

  1. It doesn't have CSS. V3 has custom CSS styling, but V4 isn't ready yet. It used to have an option for adding CSS on older V4 builds, but not in the newer ones.
  2. It's "slow" at initial sync. Remember when I said, Beeper V4 is quick at launch? But if you initially sign in to Beeper, it can take a long time, especially if you joined a large Matrix room (such as Matrix HQ)
